Emily Passmore

Emily (she/her) is a playwright and poet. Although she writes in a singular and specific voice, her work is less focused and more exploratory of topics ranging from queer romance to religious boundaries. Many of her stories feature elements of nature and move with softness.

Emily also works as an English and Social and Emotional Intelligence teacher for middle school students. She is dedicated to fostering artists and activists of the future and is excited about the potential of the next generation. Hatchlings is a place for her to continue community building and arts engagement.
Emily’s goal at Hatchlings is to support other artists and give agency to those that don’t have as many opportunities to tell their stories and share their experiences. Connection leads to empathy which will be what changes our perspectives and ultimately our world.
